    We do a song in kid’s worship at our “whitey” church in the US that talks about following God through whatever circumstances. In the bridge, the writer (Rob Biagi) threw in a line in Swahili that I’m guessing he picked up while on a missions trip: “Ensengo Manzambe means ‘Joy with God'”. What you described is that concept — true joy is found in walking with God, not with the ‘stuff’ that we tend to rely on.

  2. It amazes me to see the juxtaposition of worship here with there. Hearing stories like this of almost getting lost in worship while here we always seem to be on a time table. Perhaps because they are unencumbered by the things we are.
